East View Cemetery is located near the intersection of NE 63rd St and Bryant Ave in Oklahoma City. Go east on 63rd St for 1.5 miles.
On the right side of the road, you will see two cemeteries next to each other. Just past them is College Ave.
Go south on College Ave. for 1/4 mile. East View Cemetery is on the right (west) side of the road.
The GPS coordinates are 353205N and 0972555W.
East View Cemetery was not a known cemetery and may have stayed unknown if it hadn't been for a wildfire
in that area in early January 2006. It had been very overgrown with thick underbrush and briars.
It appears that all the graves are in two rows. There are a few headstones but most graves are marked
with metal funeral home markers that have no readable evidence of who is buried there.
The East View Cemetery Trust was created May 18, 1933 to manage the East View Cemetery.
It has ceased, but it is not known when. The lastest known burials, by dates on tombstones, were in 1940.
